Walk In Clinics at Grand Union Health Centre
Grand Union Health Centre operates an appointment system for our doctors, nurses, health care assistants and pharmacists. Each morning lots of appointments become available so that patients are able to speak to a doctor on the same day. These appointments currently start with a phone call. That means you dont have to sit and wait in the practice and that you can have an appointment at a conveninent time for you, without you having to travel to the practice. All the appointments are available online.
We are currently offering walk in flu clinics on certain dates in September and October. We are doing it in a way that can guarantee infection control for our patients and our staff. Do wait for the message to let you know when the walk in clinics are happening.
If you call in the morning and all the appointments have gone, and you need to speak to a doctor, we have an On-call Doctor. This doctor will call you back and make an appointment for you to be seen that morning or that afternoon if you need to be seen that day.
Frequently asked questions
1. Why do you not offer a walk in service anymore?
This is to keep all our staff and patients safe and so our waiting room is not filled with patients.
2. Can I still see the doctor?
Absolutely. Each day there are still lots of face to face appointments. However we have found that lots of patients can and want to be seen on phone or video. If they need to be examined we do bring them in and they get seen.
