Training Staff
We are a training practice for Trainee GPs. Trainee GPs are fully qualified doctors working with us whilst training for a postgraduate qualification to become a GP. At all times they are supervised by another doctor in the practice.
We currently have the following trainees working in our practice:
- Dr Daneilla Fahimi , GP Speciality Training year 3, Imperial training scheme. Supervised by Dr Elanor Turner.
- Dr Bonar Mcguire
- Dr Holly Young
- Dr Simran Bedi
Foundation Year 2 (FY2's)
FY2's (Foundation Year 2) are medical practitioners who have completed a medical degree and are in their second year of a Foundation Training Programme (a 2-year, general post-graduate medical training programme which forms the bridge between medical school and specialist / general practice training). They remain under the clinical supervision of a senior doctor but are qualified to make independent management decisions regarding patient care.
Registrars
GP Registrars are fully qualified and registered Doctors.
They have passed out of medical school and completed their 2 years of pre-registration in hospital and been admitted as fully registered doctors on the GMC list. They are currently on a 3-year GP registration course; involving further hospital medical training and an attachment to a GP Practice under a supervising qualified GP. All GPs must undergo this training before they become fully qualified GPs in their own right.
Our FY2's and Registrars work with us on a rotational basis as part of their training programmes. These rotations last between 4 to 6 months before they move onto their next training placement.
